Sober Soldierz is a faith based, non-profit recovery family based in Des Moines, Iowa. We believe that God and recovery must come first, and that recovery is not a one size fits all.
We believe there is only one step, God, one big book, that book is known as the Bible.
We believe that by placing God first in thriving to become the best version of yourself, God can and will restore everything lost and more
We here at Sober Soldierz recovery family are in the business of changing and shaping lives in the recovery community. The work we do at our organization is aimed at providing a faith based approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. In our recovery meetings as well as our recovery home, we believe by placing God first, lives can and will be changed.
Providing a safe space to discuss recovery
We provide three weekly meetings and one bi weekly meeting on the first and third Mondays of the month. All meetings begin at 7pm in multiple locations around the Des Moines area. Childcare is provided at all meeting locations.
Tuesday night meetings is our gender specific meeting. Iron sharpens iron, men up stairs. Ladies straighten each others crowns, downstairs.

Sober Soldierz Recovery Home
Our recovery home provides men an opportunity to seek God and recovery while becoming the best versions of themselves. This begins with M-F daily devotions and prayer together, along with all mandatory meeting requirements, church on Sunday and community services work opportunities.
